How to upload photos to IJC Gallery

Steps to upload photos to IJC Gallery

REMEMBER: the filename of the photo cannot have the punctuation mark "." in it.

Connect to the IJC Gallery server (you need a FTP client like Filezilla which is a freeware)
a. User your FTP client to connect to ftp://gallery.ijc.hk
b. When prompt, input the username and password to login (username & password can be obtained from Administration Officers)
Copy the photos to the server
a. Open a new folder in the server with any name you like
b. Copy your photos to that newly created folder
Open your browser and go to http://gallery.ijc.hk/admin/
Login with the supplied username and password
After login, click the [Import] button, then click the name of the folder you created.
A list of all uploaded photos will be there. Either choose an “Existing Album” or “Create a New Album” by typing a New Album Name and select the appropriate Collection, then click the [Import] button.

Island Junior Chamber is providing @ijc.hk email accounts to all members for FREE. All email addresses are in the format of firstname.lastname@ijc.hk, so that members could remember others' email addresses easily.

To access your email box, you could login via the web by opening Internet Explorer and go to this URL:
http://webmail.ijc.hk
Username: firstname.lastname
Password: (email secretariat@ijc.hk if you forgot it)

If you prefer to check your email via Outlook/ Outlook Express/ Any mail client, you could do so by following these two simple steps.

1. Enable the POP Access

How to update member information

You can update your personal information via IJC website by following these simple steps.

Go to IJC website at http://www.ijc.hk
Click the link on the homepage as shown.
Type your registered e-mail account (the one you recieved e-mail from IJC mailing list) and password and then click the [Submit] button.
If you don't have the password, you can reset it by clicking the link and enter your registered e-mail account there and click the [Submit] button. After a while, an e-mail will be delivered to your registered e-mail account with the new password (you may change your password after you login).
If you still can't receive the new password, please send us an e-mail at ma@ijc.hk
After you login, click the link to update your personal information.
To finish, please review your information and click the [Submit] button.
Remember to click the link after you finished updating your data.

FREE @ijc.hk email for ALL Islanders

Island Junior Chamber is delighted to offer ALL Islanders with a FREE email account.

This service is provided to ALL Senior and Full Members absolutely FREE. The service is powered by Google which provides extra stability and effective SPAM filtering to reduce the junk email. Each email box has at least 5GB storage which should be enough for most usage.

All members email addresses are in the format of firstname.lastname@ijc.hk so it is very easy for our members to remember his own and other email addresses. We hope that it will facilitate more communications between members. Furthermore, it will also enable the Chapter to deliver its messages to our members effectively.

PP Alex Tzang interview on April issue of Capital Magazine

COC JC Sports Day 2008 was successfully held on May 1

This year, IJC organised JC Sports Day 2008 at Hammer Hill Road Sports Ground on 1st of May. Under the Beijing Olympic atmosphere, a record breaking participation of over 220 JC athletes from NOM and 19 LOM chapters joined the event ( the competitions included 100M, 200M,400M, 1500M, 4x100M, Shot Put, Long Jump, High Jump and Special Group Games ). We also invited the athletes from Second Generation Entrepreneur Network Hong Kong and Rotaract Club of Victoria to join. IJC had 15 athletes to join the competitions, and ended up winning lots of prizes and glory.

42nd Annual General Meeting was successfully held on August 30, 2008

The 42nd Annual General Meeting of Island Junior Chamber was successfully held on August 30, 2008.

In the past 8 months, Islanders, especially the Board of Directors, worked really hard for their mother Chapter. I beleived that you would agree with it after reading our Annual report and our newsletter "BROTHERHOOD".

Special thanks should be given to our OC Chairman Marius. Without his dedication, we couldn't have such a wonderful and memorable AGM.

I would also like to take this opportunity to thank Islanders Ben, Chammy & Tim, supervising officer VP George, project advisor PP Stanley, for their helps in the AGM.

Jan Past President & Senior Member Gathering

On Jan 24, 31 Islanders and their family & friends gathered together having lunch to welcome the Year of the Ox. Even though we didn't have the lion dance nor fireworks, the atmosphere was great as a lot of old friends were there. President Michael sent his best wishes for prosperity and good health to everyone.

2009 Officer Training Camp

Islander, We are 1 team !

On 20th and 21st December 2008, we held our 2009 Officer Training Camp at Shatin Breakthrough Youth Village. Michael Jordan once said, "Talent wins games, but teamwork and intelligence wins championships." President Michael Tang shared the same belief and thus he put "WE ARE 1 TEAM" be the focus of this camp. The theme "WE ARE 1 TEAM" had 2 meanings: to work as 1 team and to be Number 1 team among JCs.

New Member Introduction - Howard Wong

Hello, I am Howard Wong. It is very nice to be an Islander. I’m glad to say that I can take such significant position as MAD. In 2010, my first duty is to hold regular happy hour. It is very important to us to have regular happy hour because Islander should know how to drink and need to drink. Why do I say so? On my first training camp Chapmun bought me a beer before the program start, and when the program is done Fook Man bought me a beer too, seems BEER is very import to our members. THANK YOU VERY MUCH FOR YOUR BEER. That’s why I should pass this excellent tradition to all our new member.

In the last happy hour, we have a very good time. There are more than 40 members and guest attending this function. We have taken so many pictures which can show our wonderful time more than I can describe here.

2010 board of director give me a great challenge that is to complete 26 times happy hour in 2010. Because we believe in JCI creed and we believe happy hour can build up our brotherhood. It is a very good time for us to share our worries and happiness in the coming happy hour.
